Reading the news is such a joke. There are so many news articles about the number of people dead because of a storm in northern Spain, or the number of people dead over the weekend because of the Christmas traffic jams. Patience is explaining to a nearly computer-illiterate professor how to write an URL in their browser's address bar, and then how to create folders and move emails in Outlook Express.
You know how long that took? 20 fucking minutes.
They're always really grateful afterwards, but I wish they listened more.

ME: Dad, the light in the kitchen has gone out and I can't remove the glass screen to change the lightbulb. I think it's stuck.
