For me to regain my motivation I usually turn to le boyfriend, but I'm guessing that it's not an option. For some reason, having a happy day with him is the most inspiring of the inspiring. I also like to take time to relax and consciously forget the stuff that I'm supposed to be working on and just do nothing. It works to clear my head more than it does anything else, but at least it helps a little bit ( ... )

No actually, I think you're right! If I compare this semester to last semester, I was going out a lot more and doing a lot more things. I think I really am happier when I'm surrounded by people, but somehow I got into "lazy mode" over the summer and doing stuff became too much of an effort. I'll make a conscious effort to fix that \o ( ... )

What I always finds help with motivation and getting myself out of down cycles is making lists. Essentially, I'll list out all the goals I want to accomplish within a week or day or whatever, including things like homework, studying, hanging out with friends, playing video games, the like, and then I make a schedule. I slot myself time for doing different things so that when it gets to be that time I can motivate myself to work and also recognize that working now will mean I'll have time for doing other things later.

Lists also help because even if you don't accomplish everything on the list, you can cross off something and feel accomplished for that at least. Also breaking things down into parts (like: do homework for x class, do homework for y class) and then slotting things into your schedule accordingly makes it really easy to keep from feeling overwhelmed. Because this way even though it seems like you have a lot to do, you've essentially proven to yourself that you've got the time to do it ( ... )

Its hard to say how to stop you feeling down, because for everyone its a different combination that will work.

Have a talk with your boyfriend if you're unsure of what's going on. Whichever way that goes, it's best to get it out of the way. You should never avoid your feelings, you know? That just makes them last all the longer.

You need to force yourself motivated maybe. Say "okay! Today I am going to do this social thing, this creative thing and this just-for-me thing" and then strive to work them into everything. Even if it's just for five minutes. In the end I think you'll feel better? <3

Idk, hang in there bb <3 Whine at us all you need.

Illness plus your food thing is defs going to be contributing to this - just think how good it will feel to come home and be able to deal with that properly! I think you definitely need to look forward to coming back to Australia, and that in turn will make the time up until then more precious. Make your departure your motivation, not a stressor! Work out what needs to be done by when - not just assignments, but places you haven't been, people you want to go out with, new experiences you want to try. Keep finding new things - don't let yourself fall into the rut of familiarity ( ... )

Thanks hon, this is all really useful advice that I appreciate and I will defs try to stick to it ♥

Also I do actually regulate my sleep and eating-- that's something I've always done since forever. It's really rare for me to not get enough sleep. I regularly sleep 8 to 9 hours a night and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time every day. The problem is that I've been sick now for seven weeks and when you're sick, 8-9 hours of sleep a night just isn't enough. When I'm sick I need 12 hours of sleep, but there just isn't enough time in the day to sleep that much every day.
