I've been reading the novels for the first time and finished the third, "HMS Surprise," a few days ago. They are pure gold plated amazing! I read this fic awhile back. It was an AU where people can have powers relating to weather (I think it was just weather). Jack was a particularly powerful wind-type who was eagerly awaiting a command. I was endlessly (ENDLESSLY) refreshing the Shiver My Timber OTP generator to try & find out for sharpiefan if Sharpe fandom was on it yet, and it eventually gave me this. (The likelihood of this coming up should tell you how long I was refreshing it for....)

OK, I have a friend who's new to the fandom, and I want to recommend a good slash fic to her, but I haven't read any A/M fan fic in so long, I can't think of any. She has only read through HMS Surprise so far, and she claims not to care about spoilers but I would still rather not rec her something with spoilers.
