I've lurked about this lovely community for months, and have finally been driven to make myself known! So hi!
I don't know if this is permitted on perfect_duet, but I've been desperately searching - for AGES - for an Aubrey/Maturin fan fiction that I read several months ago. It was slash, it seems. They were aboard ship, and Jack stopped spending so much time with Stephen. This bothered Stephen, and he came to believe that perhaps Jack had realised that Stephen liked him romantically and was disgusted. At one point, Stephen and Killick talk together about Jack not wanting Stephen's presence. Eventually the truth comes out, that Jack himself has realised he feels romantically toward Stephen.
Really, any fics in that vein are ever-so-welcome!
