I woke up around 6:30. I stayed up until 12ish talking to Betsy on the phone. She's such a darling, I really miss talking to her! <3 I'm going to try to call her tonight, as well. :D It's kind of funny, but when I'm in Japan in the spring, she'll be in Korea and she'll be closer to me then compared to here in America, haha. I shall have to visit

AND, if you are weird, then I am worse. Plus, I am in a dilemma because I might not even be weird enough for a certain guy who I kind of like. ME, with ALL my past adventures. NOT weird enough. WTF?

*goes to look him up* Jeff Dunham. Everyone else seems to think he's great, but I find him completely unfunny. There's a difference between being edgy/offensive/funny (ala Chris Rock and George Carlin....) and then just being plain racist. All of his puppets are racial stereotypes and it pained me just to watch.

Not weird enough? What about the adventures at the old mine? :D That was so awesome and cool...how could someone think you weren't weird enough? ....that in and of itself is too weird, haha.

I kind of see his sort of racism akin to Eric Cartman. The majority of the racist comments come out of the mouth of Peanut, the tactless fool, who Jeff then chastises. In chastising the puppet for his socially unacceptable behavior, people will know not to immitate that behavior. Same with Cartman. Since everyone hates Cartman, noone will really follow his thought patterns!

I was thinking more in the fact that every one of those characters that he has simply exemplifies racial stereotypes, the black one, the 'mexican' one, the 'dead terrorist' one....and all of the jokes are based on those stereotypical ideas of their races. Even the hillbilly character is like that, and instead of offensive, I find it merely stupid. He is just re-using the same old stereotypes and people are laughing and thinking in their heads, "Oh, haha. That's so true." But it's not. He's just not funny and I find him unoriginal and he's also just a terrible ventriloquist.

Yes, I'm sorry about not being able to, time zones have been messing with me and I've been going to sleep reeeaaallly early lately. It's odd. I shall try to call you sometime soon!

Ugh, that exchange rate is terrible, though. That shoots down the thought I had yesterday about going and pulling the small amount of money I had left in the Sumitomo Mitsui account, methinks...
