I just realised that this summer a finnish basketball player Petteri Koponen was selected at first round in NBA draft. Right after selection he was traded to Portland. Hopefully he gets a chance to play in the team at some point.

I've been a bit busy at work and lazy in writing, but a week ago I had a trip to Idria. On the way I first stopped at Bistra, near Vrhnika to see yet another interesting castle. Sunday direction was to take small roads to Novo Mesto and see what is on the way. We drove the motorway to Ivacna Gorica and from there went to see a monastery and church at Sticna. The smallish church had quite a lot gold and glimmer inside. Monastery had a big sundial on the floor, which didn't take daylight saving into account.  :)  From Sticna ( Read more... )

On friday, my parents came to visit me in Slovenija. We had quite an activity weekend. On Saturday we drove first to Skocjan caves and then to coast. On Saturday I jumped on my car and decided to go see few smaller towns nearby. I started from Kamnik, which had nice small broken castle in the middle of small hill in old town. Sometime ago I was told heroes is a tv show worth to watch. After "wasting" weekend and watching twelve episodes, I decided it is time to know what kind of hero I would be.

I spent thrusday 17th of May with my sis and cousin. We went first to Bled and this time I also got the island with church. We also got up to the castle and I bought bottle of red wine from the winery. According to the fake monk, it was the Tito's favorite merlot.
