I've been a bit busy at work and lazy in writing, but a week ago I had a trip to Idria. On the way I first stopped at Bistra, near Vrhnika to see yet another interesting castle. So it is. If you use Google Earth, you can search for Idria, Slovenia and there you are.

Both my latest ex and my brother's current girlfriend are from there. They talks funny.

Now there is some thing I just realised that in some places the town is stated as Idria and on others it is Idrija. Does this has to do something with their funny talking or just difference between slovenian and english form (or italian?) of the name of the town?

Idrija is the real name. Idria would be Austrian or Italian.

The mines sound like they would be a very cool tour. If you make it back please bring a picture or two if you can. Watch out for Balrogs and Cave Trolls.
