finally back at Finland. lot of work in queue in Lappeenranta and friends wedding on saturday, so the report for the trip to Finland have to wait.

Thus ends my visit to magical lands of Slovenia. In 10 minutes I will start the car and head to Italy.
This morning I bought two cases of Wine from vinoteka, based on the sellers recommendation. So now I have one case of supposedly good Teran and one case of Slovenian Burgunder, go figure ;)

So for my last trip I drove first to Murska Sobota, to eastern part of Slovenia. On the way I stopped to see church os Sv. Trije Kralj. Murska Sobota didn't have anything out of ordinary, so I continued my way towards south. After crossing river Mura, I stopped to see a "floating mill". Didn't buy any flour though. I have one week left on my Slovenian expedition. On the wake of 8th of August I will return my apartment key to the Institute and my car heads towards north. I have not yet decided the actual route, but I at least want to visit Liechtenstein and castle Neuschwanstein in Germany. So last weekend I was at Metal Camp rock festival at Tolmin. I started my journey after lunch and first headed to Idrija to see the mines I missed when I was there last time. It was 37 C outside, so heading in cool mines was pretty great. There was first 20 minute movie about the mines and the miners before we entered inside. The tour included ( Read more... )

During the weekend I sang along with blind guardian (and thousands of fans) the bard's song Okay, I admit I also sang along with Lord of the rings, In to the storm and many others. :) I have to say I had really good time. More on the festival and tour in the area, once i get really recovered.

Next stop, metal camp at Tolmin.
The rock festival started already on tuesday, but I will head there tomorrow and stay just the last two days. Weather forecast says 37 C for tomorrow, so it will be hot hot hot. I mainly want to see Motörhead tomorrow and then Blind Guardian on Saturday, although there are other pretty good bands too.

On Saturday I went to Lasko for the festival of beer and flowers. Lasko is a small town that I assume has somewhere between 5k and 10k habitants. What is important about Lasko is that they have Big brewery making Lasko beer, which is a lager with a bit taste too.
