Sarah Monette working on new novel
My word, has it been 51 weeks since we last posted? I'm afraid we did have a rough year, but you don't want to hear about that. WELL...here we are again!
It's been eight months since we last posted, mainly because of a couple of unfortunate events which happened in the Perri/Richard household.
Firstly, I [Perri] became very ill. I suffer from a very serious chronic illness which can usually be controlled by several medications which I take daily allied with weekly therapy. I was able to work for ( Read more... ) -

As we suppose most people know who have been following the weather news, our area of the Midwest has been drenched by a record amount of rain. Fortunately there are no major rivers near Madison, so we haven't had the very serious flooding that many nearby communities have had. Polar Bears and Misc Matters
Well, Polar Bears have finally been put on the United States' Endangered Species List. They're not classified as actually **Endangered** yet, just *Threatened* [which means that if things continue to proceed as they have been going, Polar Bears will need to be upgraded to **Endangered** in the foreseeable future]. It was April 30th, and now it's May 1st!
While we haven't regressed back into winter here, we haven't exactly leapt sprightly into spring either. We've had several days when it rained and stormed all day and where the temperatures fell back into the 50's and 40's during the day and actually went below freezing a couple of nights as well. Finally, Signs of Life!
There are actually daffodils blooming in the yard of the neighbor who lives at the end of our block! Little blue flowers which spread all over the currently bare ground are blooming as well. Neither one of us knows what these blue flowers are called, but they're lovely ( Read more... ) -
April Showers
Well, we have finally moved out of winter and into what passes for spring here in Wisconsin. We've had several days of warm (50-60 degrees during the height of the day--significantly colder at night--you understand), but that's been combined with winds and pouring rain.
