anneb and I went to get a new chair today from Staples. I've been suffering from a back problem for a little less than a year; apparently I have "Degenerative Disk Disease" -- in any case, I have a disk that's painful and not doing its job, so my muscles need to learn to compensate. He passed away yesterday, after two months of hospitalization and hospice care. He was 85 years old, and he lived many years longer than several doctors predicted. Today, my mother turned 79 in the company of three of her children and two grandchildren.

Happy Imbolc, for those who care about such things. It's been over three months since my last post, in which I described "moving out" of the basement. Well, we finally have a floor again, as of last week, and today we started to move furniture back in. For the first time in 3 months, we have Cable Television, and a Playstation. Been a while since I've updated. I've had killer headaches lately-- a migraine every week, and less severe headaches most of the rest of the time. Went to see a neurologist, and got put on some anti-depressants, not because I was diagnosed as depressed but just because they tend to be effective against frequent migraines. The writing continues-- am around 60K words now. Had an off week, writing wise, but Sunday was great. World of Warcraft is probably somewhat to blame, but I was burning out trying to push to get the novel finished, and life seems more in balance now, on the whole.
