I blew it. I have no completions to report, and yes, that makes me a liar. I have made some progress on several Tasks:-
- *mini-SCORE!* On 7th July, I completed my second year of 100 hours of outdoor walks, all thanks to being at work. Given that I did 165 last year, I only have to do TWO more after today to average one hundred for the three years of my Mission. That doesn't, however, mean that I'm going to take things easy in 2012. Far from it!
- If next Saturday stays dry, I think I'll take a shot at Task 4 - Walk to another town and back in a day for the air display - and it may just count towards Task 81 - Actively protest in support of a deserving cause.
- I'm keeping up with the dinners (Task 9)
- I have the form for getting my passport renewed (Task 18), and...
- ...there are rumblings about numerous travel Tasks being advanced in the maybe-near future, namely:20 - Set foot in another foreign country (not the US!)
22 - Spend at least one full week away from home (whichever it is)
24 - See an ocean I never saw before...
- I might have an option for this year's stage show (Task 27)...
- I'm keeping up with my book-buying (Task 29 - Buy a book a month from an actual bookshop). Thank you, Sir Terry Pratchett!
- I'm back up to speed on my writing (Task 45 - Make regular progress on current and forthcoming "projects")
- Any day now, I will get an outstanding craft project completed (Task 52 - Complete some craft projects I've started) - the item needing completed is hanging on my office door...
- Task 53 - Deal with my "overspill" of crap is an ongoing piece of business, as my stuff from The Move remains to be sorted. It is in some greater degree of order as I write...
- I'm changing Task 83 - Get my bloody chair fixed! to Get a decent, long-lasting office chair!, as the "bloody chair" has now been scrapped.
And finally...
Task 85 - ...and make my own books! was supposed to be my "ace-in-the-hole", but I screwed up the one I was working on last night. However, I have plenty of materials to have several more tries, I know where and how I went wrong - and this Task WILL be completed this month! This, and at least one other...
That's about all I can think of right now, and the day is drawing to a close - I can actually hear owls outside (tawny owls, I believe). I hope to have better news next month!
