Through the odd connections the internet makes, I found out just now that Southwyck Mall in Toledo finally closed its doors. I went there once, probably 5 or more years ago, while going to school in Bowling Green. We're almost caught up on lost. Besides tonights episode (which we're taping right now), we have 3 more episodes to watch online. I'm kind of glad I only got into it a couple weeks ago; I can't imagine actually having to wait a week between each episode. 

We arrived back in DC today after a full week in Dayton, OH. Oh Dayton, with your affordable houses, Esther Price stores and stagnant employment (at least in the graphic design sector). I stayed up way too late last night to watch Animal Collective's somewhat underwhelming performance of "#1" on Conan. Not that it's not a good song, but it seemed like they were all set up for a much poppier number, like "Chores" , "Peacebone" or "Derek". Early this morning I tried to plunk down the $81.25USD for the new Radiohead multi-format thingie they're calling the "Discbox". Turns out my card wasn't authorized for internet charges on foreign websites, so fifteen minutes on the phone with the bank and I was good to go. I made this Mario Batali recipe the other day and it was really good. I changed some stuff around due to what I could find; I used fennel seeds instead of fennel fronds because I didn't want to fight the crowds at Whole Foods, and I changed the cheese to Parmesan from Pecorino because I couldn't find that cheese.
