I used to go there sometimes my junior and senior year, when I had my car in BG. I did all sorts of strange stuff when gas prices were low and I was bored...it was easy to get to that mall and I was not a confident driver, so I went there more than once. That and Thackeray's bookstore, which I've heard is also now closed.

Have you been back since you graduated? I only have once. Dude, seriously, I'm not being melodramatic...but seriously, the place is just mega-depressing. It's even more striking after you've left and come back. Don't get me wrong; I had some good times there, but...yeah.

Back to Southwyck or Toledo/BG in general? That's a negative on both counts (though I've been to Defiance twice since graduation). I was getting the depressing vibe pretty intensely by my senior year and couldn't wait to leave, though I have a bit of nostalgia for how slow and simpler things were there and then. I went to Thackeray's once and bought a book; I remember it was pretty cool but probably couldn't compete with the big bookstore across the street from the other mall.

Is that what it's called? I don't think it was fully built by the time I left.
