Radiohead
Early this morning I tried to plunk down the $81.25USD for the new Radiohead multi-format thingie they're calling the "Discbox". Turns out my card wasn't authorized for internet charges on foreign websites, so fifteen minutes on the phone with the bank and I was good to go. Then Radiohead took the site down due to an overloaded server. I finally was able to purchase it at work, so things are right with the world. Radiohead are the only band that I get excited for when they release a new album that I pick up as soon as possible. This new setup, circumventing the major label distribution scheme, is pretty savvy. I've always loved their album artwork, so getting the Discbox was a no brainer, despite the price. I know they're going to release it regularly next year, but I'm a nerd about album art.
