Urd reclined on one of the chaises by the pool, snapping her journal shut. Well, that took care of that -- now everyone who glanced at the journals today would know what was going down. She smiled in satisfied smugness to herself, popping open the bottle of sake her sister had given her.

She gave a cursory glance to her carefully poised body to make sure she looked the most inviting and poured herself a drink.

Lenne found her way to the pool rather easily, considering. After the darkness had dissipated, her sense of direction had seemed to improve dramatically from even before. However, she was still surprised to find that she was one of the first to arrive. And the woman that caught her eye first was just about enough to cause her to turn right back around and flee as her self-esteem took a dive.

That must be Urd. But no use assuming, might as well introduce herself. She smiled her most cheerful smile and made her way over to the goddess, hands clasped behind her back to keep from toying with her skirt or any other embarrassing nervous behavior. She didn't have a swimsuit here in Paixao, so she was still in her usual Songstress ensemble, and was beginning to feel very over-dressed.

"Hi there, I'm Lenne. I don't believe we've met before...?"

She lowered her cup from her face as Lenne approached. Though the girl thought she was overdressed, Urd was immediately impressed by her sense of style. Flirty and flashy? Wonderful! "Hey there, Lenne," she replied, smile widening in friendly welcome even as her dark purple eyes gave the newcomer a once over. She stood gracefully from the chaise, tossing her hair from her shoulders and stepped closer, head tilted.

"Glad you could make it. We haven't officially met, but I remember seeing you at Genie's golf tournament." She reached out and lifted the filmy, translucent blue fabric of the ruffles and drapes about Lenne's outfit. "I love this outfit!"

"That's right! I knew I'd seen you before, but I wasn't aware of your name then. Glad I have a name to put to a face, now," she rambled, glad she managed to say "face" and not "body", like she had been thinking. She hadn't actually told Lenne her name, but she had very little doubt that this was anyone but Urd.

Lenne laughed embarrassedly and was deeply grateful she managed not to blush at Urd's compliment, it was definitely more than she was expecting. "Thank you!" she responded sincerely. She was quite fond of the outfit herself, which was a blessing considering she didn't exactly have much else to wear in Paixao. She had to fight off the urge to twirl and show how the fabric would swirl around her. It was one of her favorite things about the outfit.

From the luxury of his tower Genie watched over the pool below. As lifeguard it was his duty to ensure the safety of everyone in and around the pools environs. He took his job very seriously and would not hesitate to blow his whistle on anyone caught violating the rules of the pool. This ranged from merely running to anyone caught peeing in the pool. Though there had been a sign posted regarding pool rules there were always those who chose to ignore it. Not on his watch though… No. The djinn adjusted his aviators. With the eyes of a hawk not one swimmer could expect to go so far as a single stroke without him watching them - at least after he finished applying his sun block ( ... )

Urd watched Genie's ritual from afar with a snort of amusement. He was taking this rather seriously, wasn't he? Maybe he really did think having alcohol around would lead to some accidents. Well, whatever. If there was one person in Paixao she trusted to take care of others (other than Belldandy), it was Genie.

She walked up to the tower, shielding her eyes from the light as she lifted her head. "Hey! You doing alright up there?" Her feet rose up from the ground as she slowly floated up to the top.

“Excellent! No signs of running, smoking, food, drink, jewellery or any type of electronics in the pool along with unsupervised children. There’s been no pushing, diving off the shallow end or rough play either. Hades seems at bay and the only problem it looks like we might have is an animal in the pool but he seems to be supervised.” The genie paused for a moment in thought, eyes wandering around the pool. Not once did it occur to him that her question may have been about him and not the party. “Did you want me to blow the whistle on him?”

Urd burst into chuckles. "No, that's fine. I was talking about how you were doing." Absently tucking her hair behind her ears, she floated forward and teasingly tapped his chest. "This is supposed to be fun for you too, you know." Eyes glittering with amusement and happiness, she smiled up at him. "Don't work too hard, okay?"

It had been some time since Timon had last gone swimming, a year or two, at the least. In his time Paixao hadn’t offered the opportunity to him often. In fact, it had never offered it. That was why he had immediately forced Vyers to take him after seeing the announcement over the message board, or at least intended to. For once the demon appeared to agree with him and of all things wanted to go. The meerkat wasn’t quite sure why but was not about to argue. If anything Vyers probably just wanted to look at all the pretty girls in skimpy bathing suits. He rolled his eyes at the thought. He didn’t see what was so interesting about them but if the demon spent more time watching them then him he would surely receive a good talking to, audience or not. The redhead would have never invited the Dark Adonis if he didn’t need his protection. Being seen with the man in public made him look so uncool ( ... )

Vyers usually preferred the more upscale sort of party, any distraction was a welcome one. A shame he didn't have anything to dress with for the occasion. Oh well. There was plenty of food and festivities to partake in and some decent company. And the pool was far more impressive than he had imagined. Quite beautiful, really. And how long had it been since he had last gone swimming? Certainly awhile. And he was much more fond of enjoying the sun's lovely rays.

Hm? Now where was Timon going? Ah, just the pool. Well, far be it for him to stop the meerkat from having his fun. There was a lifeguard on duty and he would be relaxing nearby, would he not? He wouldn't let Timon out of his sight, of course. He had had too many disappearances happen around him to allow any chance of that happening once again.

Now he need only find a nice spot to lay...

Once the meerkat had reached the pool he turned to look back at the demon, expecting him to right behind him. However, to his surprise, he found Vyers wandering toward the lounging chairs at the side of the pool instead. He folded his arms across his chest and eyed the demon expectantly. Vyers didn’t honestly think he could go to pool party without taking a dip in the pool, did he? What was the problem this time, he was worried about his hair getting wet? After the amount of time he spent on it in the morning Timon would be more than happy to see it destroyed.

“What, you’re not coming in?” he asked. “Why not? There’s not something wrong with the water, is there? You’re not scared of it… Are you?”

Vyers turned as he was addressed, looking immediately insulted by Timon's insinuation. "Of course not! But, as you can see, I am hardly dressed for the occasion, and my poor clothes have suffered more than enough in this city," he explained. "But fear not, I intend to keep a close eye on you, even if I cannot go for a dip this time."

Stress and irritation had gotten to Tanaka in the past weeks, built up from too long wondering what exactly he was supposed to be doing around here. He had worked himself into a fit of frustration, second-guessing whether or not anything he was doing was the right thing to do. He had finally had to think very hard about what he would be told if one of his superiors were with him in the city ( ... )

Rose was pleased for the relaxation herself. Any chance for a social gathering sounded like a good idea, too. Not that she didn't love her friends, but she never really seemed to... know enough about Paixao, or the others that were in it.

She really needed to change things like that. Likely others, but those were for another time.

And so that was, plain and simple, how she found herself at the party, pastel-toned bathing suit and a towel wrapped around her waste.

It was Rose who was the casual observer who noticed Tanaka, and hey, he didn't look too bad. It was reason enough to head over to him, a smile on her face. "Hey there. Looks like a nice party, huh?"

Tanaka may have just jumped a smidge at the woman's voice. Ahh. Right, being out in a relaxed situation meant social interaction, under most circumstances. He was a little less than experienced in that area anyway, for more reasons than just focusing on his job.

He turned to her, clearing his throat slightly. "Yes, it seems like they've put a lot of work into making it a real show," the cheerleader agreed.

"Can't really blame them, can you?" she asks softly, taking a look around them. "I mean, with all the darkness we've been faced with and the Heartless... We all kind of need a bit of a real show. Something up lifting, y'know?"

That's how she saw it a bit, anyway.

Urd immediately stopped what she was doing, slowly turning her head towards Belldandy at the opposite end of the pool. As if on cue, a strong breeze blew through, perhaps as a playful accompaniment to the goddess that commanded it. In Heaven, Belldandy's singing was always highly praised, often touted as the most beautiful voice around. Such pure and perfect singing always made Urd feel quietly awed and full of pride. Now, as her little sister performed with the same grace and joy as she always did, Urd smiled slightly. At this moment, she'd never been more happy that Belldandy was here...even if it did take her from Keiichi.

She chuckled softly to herself, silently berating herself for her selfishness and turned to focus once more on tending to her guests.
