If there was anything in the Sinscale's mind save for the ever-present anger and urge to kill anything that moved, it would have answered Luffy's question. As things stood however, it didn't even seem to notice the fact that a question had been asked of it.

Being slammed against the wall, on the other hand, did get a reaction from the spawn. Of course, being slammed against a wall would get a reaction out of anything, but the fact that it Did Not Like That crossed what little mind it had, as it shook it's head as if to shake the pain away, buzz shrilling into something more like a keen for a moment.

And then it was straight back to aggression, urges of attackattackattack spurring it ever onwards, as it lashed out and up with its claws, trying to get a hold on Luffy's arm.

"Eh?"

Luffy blinked sharply, seeming suddenly even more personally wounded by the sudden outburst. Here he was, simply trying to discern the creature's nature, and it replied in turn by attacking him? His mild agitation turned quickly to a sense of anger; while his ears rang with the Sinscale's harsh cry, Luffy narrowed his eyes and whipped his arm around to grab hold of the angry little monster in the same fashion as he had before. His palm pressed against its 'face', his fingers suddenly wrapping around the long, narrowing surface of its head. The skin's surface along his hand tightened audibly, like stretched leather, as he tightened his vice-like grip.

Just as he had done before, Luffy slammed it against the wall, but much harder this time. The surface of the wall cracked against where its body had hit, and Luffy held on firmly, wedging it in place. "Hoi, shitty thing," he snapped at it. "What'd I do to you?"

Again, there was no answer from the Sinscale. How could it answer? It had neither proper vocal cords nor enough of an intelligence to figure out what was being said to it. That the strange-tall was making noises, that it could tell. But it didn't attribute any sort of meaning to them.

Besides, the strange-tall had hurt it, and hurt it badly. Strange-tall needed to die.

But it was nonetheless pinned firmly against the wall, although it wasn't incapable of movement all the same, struggling frantically to get free of the hand that was pinning it, claws scraping against the wall - and anything else that happened to cross their path that could be used as a foothold. Get free and kill. Get free and kill.

Or try at least.

Luffy, watching the vicious little spawn carefully, felt it wriggling around in his grasp, scraching, clawing, squirming, struggling to free itself. He held fast, though, not releasing it, no matter how much it writhed around.

Frowning, Luffy couldn't help but feel sort of sad over it. A sense of pity, perhaps. The creature didn't seem to have any other desire but to attack him, lacking any sense of reason save for lashing out.

As it fought against his grip, Luffy felt one of its poignant claws nick his skin. He winced, then immediately lost any compassion he might've felt for this little being. His lean arm, toned and lanky, suddenly tensed and bulged with muscle, hidden beneath the relaxed surface of his rubbery skin. Sharply, he whipped his limb away from the wall and sent the Sinscale screaming through the air. It smashed against the surface of the building across the street, and the stone caved in around where its diminuitive body struck ( ... )

Needless to say, the Sinscale wasn't able to to withstand the assault on its already battered body - by the time the dust from the attack had died down it was already dead, lying crumpled and lifeless under the debris.

Of course, there wouldn't be any body left behind, no matter how much Luffy or anyone else would want a body to remain behind, as within a matter of moment the dead Sinscale exploded into a thousand point of sparkling light; light that spiraled up towards what would have been the sky, had Paixao had a proper sky, fading as they went. If one listened carefully, one would be able to pick up the soft song the made as they passed by, something that seemed to almost have words in it - although nothing definite.

Off to the side, safely away from the action, an amazed Khajiit watched in fascination. She had initially thought that the human (if he ~was~ human) was going to be in some serious trouble and had been agonizing over whether or not she should help him. The monsters didn't seem to be intelligent, so attacking them probably wouldn't be a breach of her vow of pacifism. Still, she had always preferred to avoid violence in favor of stealth and avoidance ( ... )

As Luffy turned coldly away from the freshly imploded building, with rough and jagged bits still falling away from the demolished side like raindrops from a roof's edge, he soundly dusted his hands of the matter and of the soft, crumbled stone coating his knuckles. His eyes were cast off over the skyline, a mix of concern and excitement aglow in his gaze. Maybe it was about time to head in the direction of the chaos ( ... )
