As Luffy turned coldly away from the freshly imploded building, with rough and jagged bits still falling away from the demolished side like raindrops from a roof's edge, he soundly dusted his hands of the matter and of the soft, crumbled stone coating his knuckles. His eyes were cast off over the skyline, a mix of concern and excitement aglow in his gaze. Maybe it was about time to head in the direction of the chaos.

As he began to walk away, he suddenly noticed wisps of a sparkling light drifting past him. They danced like falling stars just over his shoulders and brushed against the sides of his face and through the blackened locks of his hair; strangely, it gave the reckless young soul a sort of deranged beauty, the pyreflies casting a pure light across his features when paired with the incredible destruction behind him. Luffy reached out his hand, his fingers immediately passing through the intangible light, and for a split second, he felt as if he could see the faint image of some unfamiliar scene unfold inside his mind.

Ahnassi approached, and Luffy quickly glanced over at the catty creature. He smiled immediately, resting his hands on his hips rather proudly.

"Eh-ehh? Thanks, it was nothing," he replied. "It is pretty dangerous around here...so if Ah-sassy wants to come along, that's fine."

Pausing, Luffy glanced around curiously, his head bobbing from side to side. "...so, where is she?"
