Hello, everyone! *waves meekly* After not posting anything for a long while, I don't know quite where to start! RL has been rather busy lately, but entertainment stuff is far more interesting and fun to discuss, so I think I'll just dive in with shows/movies talk for now. :)

Now I'm wondering what ship you're talking about... Ugly Betty?

And may I rec you some Chuck? I mean, you totally need to watch Buffy eventually, but Chuck has only two seasons (so far) and since I literally just finished s2 5 minutes ago I'm full of love for the show. And the shipness is AMAZING.

AND GO WATCH STAR TREK. Even if you have to find someone on Craigslist to go with you, lol. It's so great. And since we're talking ship I'm pretty sure you're gonna dig it ;)

Yeah, I was talking about Daniel/Betty from Ugly Betty. I guess I could have been a little more subtle with that rant, heh.

I watched a few episodes of Chuck during its first season and really liked it--I have no idea why I didn't stick with it! Thanks for the rec; I'll definitely check it out this week. :)

HEE. Do people actually do that on Craigslist? Hmmm... ;) But yeah, I need to see it! Fandom is exploding with squee over it, and I totally went in on that fangirling! What's your favorite ship from the movie? Kirk/Spock?

LAGAAN IS JUST THE BEST!!!!! i love j-a and swades as well, but lagaan is INCREDIBLE. i watched it on a place recently, and i actually got teary just watching the film because it's that good. and aamir is such a talented actor, producer, etc ( ... )

Yeah, I think Lagaan is likely going to be the most memorable for me and the one I'd most likely re-watch out of those three.
I had to look up the whole Radha Krishna thing after watching Lagaan to find out what was so epic and symbolic that Elizabeth had to spend the rest of her life pining for Bhavan. I just want all the "good" characters in my Bollywood movies to be happily paired off at the end, lol!
Hrithik is a much better actor than I gave him credit for when I first started watching BW (I saw him first in K3G and then Mujhse Dosti Karoge)--he was really impressive in Jodhaa Akbar. And the Hrithik-Aishwarya jodi sizzles on screen; they're too pretty together! ♥
I can see what you mean about Swades because I did think it dragged a bit until the end. I think what I liked about it though was that the two romantic leads acted like actual adults who each had their own lives that were important to them (outside of their love for each other). I liked their whole 'doing something to help the whole world vs. improving the lives of at ( ... )

*stretches fingers before going to type*

We already discussed Lagaan, JA, and Swades, so I can't talk about that too much. XD But concerning Lagaan. I didn't realize that you could have such a conflicting view from "O Ri Chhori" (which is totally my favorite song from the movie ♥). I thought that Bhuvan liked her, but purely in a platonic way because she helped them so much. He kind of looked up to her in a way, I think. But she was the only one in that relationship who felt something more than platonic towards Bhuvan. I believe(d) it was only her fantasy that Bhuvan actually liked her. I didn't really care for the triangle, but since it was Bollywood, they had to have that aspect in there, even though they didn't need to because Gauri and Bhuvan were adorable together ( ... )

Oh, ok. I didn't understand if that part in "O Ri Chhori" where he was chasing her around the home as she's dressed like Gauri was from Elizabeth or Bhuvan's perspective. And then they played up the whole epic love between Radha and Krishna thing, heh. I guess I would have just preferred if they didn't say that she pined for Bhuvan the rest of her life, :/. I definitely agree that Gauri and Bhuvan were ♥ and the love triangle wasn't necessary in this film (Oh, Bollywood and its love triangles!).

Lol. It is far too easy to fall into that no 'due date' trap with Netflix, isn't it? And once I finish Luck By Chance, they'll just send me another film that will sit on my desk for a few weeks, heh. I wish more BW flicks were streaming on Netflix ( ... )

Hello! I'm waaaaaaaaay behind on everything. *shameface*
Just had to butt in: Star Trek? Rocks. And ZQ? Totally owns that movie. Just got back from seeing it. *squee*

Will try to actually respond to old conversations soon. I hope you're doing well, in spite of RL. Miss you! *hugs*

Hey, you! *clings* I'm behind on everything as well, naturally....but it's so good to hear from you!!! How are things?

I guess I'm just going to have to buy a ticket to see Star Trek all on my lonesome then. I don't think we've ever talked about Star Trek--are you a fan? Do you think I'll enjoy it if all I know about the series/movies are the characters' names (and some of their personality traits)?

I'm looking forward to it. I've missed you too. ***HUGS***

(Adorable icon, btw!)

merrin_delaney went with someone who didn't even know the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars, and they loved it. So I think you're safe. *nod*

Hey hon!! So good to see you. I hear you on RL being busy.

What show was it that sabotaged your ship? I hope your BSG rage abates with time (mine is definitely still there, but fic therapy has been helping tremendously-- I highly recommend it).

I've got to start watching The Big Bang Theory-- everyone just raves about it.

I hate going to the movies alone too! Last time I did I ran into a long-time ex-- all kinds of uncomfortable.... : /

Hope RL calms down soon. **sends lots of hugs**

Hello! Thanks, my dear. I hope RL has been a good-busy rather than overwhelming for you! *sends lots of hugs your way too*

The executive producer of Ugly Betty recently said that my ship (Daniel/Betty) would never happen--even though that was originally the plan--because the characters have supposedly become too much like a brother and sister. Agh. How am I so oblivious to the apparent incest in my pairings? :P ( ... )
