Last night in Boston (long, lots of details, mostly for me)

Our friend Katie lives in Boston. Well, in Brookline, but it's close enough. She was in Dan's class in podiatry school and is doing her residency at Beth Israel. We go into the city to hang out with her every few months--it's never often enough and we always say we need to do it again sooner, but then schedules get in the way. Alas
