I'm one of those ladies who is only into other ladies, so there is no sex appeal here for me, but I think that dude is pretty hilarious.

IAWTC.

I agree with the OP, too. The masculinity feels so over the top it's satirical. It's like someone actually making the Chuck Norris jokes funny and somewhat charming.

I think the point is that, unlike the Dodge commercials that seem to blame women for men not acting like men, these commercials seem to go over the top (on purpose) in describing what men and women want.

Also, that dude's real name is Isaiah Mustafa. I mean...come on, y'all.

Of course, but he's made a point of doing his entire Old Spice stink in full character, exhibit A:

...And being completely cheeky/shameless about it. LOL

Oh no, I was marveling over the fact that his real name is as badass as his character!

Oh boy, it's a little complicated, and Ive been telling myself to make a comprehensive tutorial for like a year. LOL. I should get started on that now that Im on "vay-cay".

Here's a very basic run through of how I get my gifs:
  • I save choice youtube vids with aTube Catcher, usually with a .mov file output (because it works best when making gifs from Photoshop).
  • I fire up Adobe Photoshop and select File > Import> Video Frames Layer, which lets you extract gif frames from a video.
  • I save my gif in Photoshop then open it in Adobe Fireworks, where I apply text/borders for the final lulzy version. It all comes down to using layers at that point, which is where it gets complicated and would really require a tutorial with visual screen shots and everything. Haha. I WILL get started on that.

I'm surprised baking is considered manly. I thought that's only the case with grilling. Though I kinda feel the same about the Old Spice commercials as I do towards wrestling, it's just too silly to be taken seriously.

Yeah, baking would not be my top choice as a "manly" skill.

Squishing spiders, now that would be a manly skill.

I bake and have a pet spider... this probably means I'm negative manly. D:

Nobody seems to like spiders. It makes me sad.

No one in the White House has old spice swagger like Obama.
