I heard a critic refer to the movie Here as basically the movie version of the Carousel of Progress from Disney.

Lmao, basically. NPR called it a "bad school play," I said it reminded me of the Dear America books (which I loved, but they're for CHILDREN). Keep the sassy comparisons coming imo

Oh shit, Wild Robot will go to Disney+, won't it? I want to sob freely in my own home.

wild robot is universal so it'll be on peacock (lol)

but also eventually netflix (for a bit)

As part of Universal's long-term deal with Netflix, the film will stream on Peacock for the first four months of the pay-TV window, before moving to Netflix for the next ten, and returning to Peacock for the remaining four.

Went to see Juror #2 last night... I actually liked it a lot? lol. It's definitely like a long Law & Order ep in some ways, it's not artfully shot, and the script could have used some work, but I liked the concept as a whole, and the cast was great! Honestly shocked that Zaslav was anti-theatrical for this one, there were a ton of folks in our 4pm showing.

Gonna see A Real Pain tonight, and then Blitz tomorrow. I know Here has terrible reviews, but I kind of want to see it anyway and my husband isn't all that interested, so I might see it by myself at some point.

Box office mojo has Juror No 2 with $90,000 for only Friday, with no promo. Only word of mouth, and it probably did at least $200k for the whole opening weekend similar to A Real Pain $240k over same timeframe.

It’s not playing near me so we’ll have to wait until it hits Max, whenever that is. Zaslav is evil.

I’m interested in Here’s concept but the deaging and Tom Hanks keeps me away. It seems like something that would work really well as play.

in upcoming bomb news, this made me laugh:

Most genius method to hide potential bad reviews I’ve seen: RED ONE is lifting review embargo right in the middle of Election Night on Tuesday at 9pm PT 😭
