November 3, 2024 Though Venom: The Last Dance came out last weekend, it remained atop the box office this weekend with little serious competition, taking in $26.1 million. It's doing better internationally than it is domestically, making less than the two previous installments.
The Wild Robot actually improved its take from last weekend by 11%, coming in second with $7.5 million. Holdovers from the past couple of weeks, Smile 2 and Conclave, took third and fourth place this weekend with $6.8 and $5.3 million, hauls, respectively.
New releases mostly stumbled, with the Robert Zemeckis-directed Here pulling in $5 million, and the Liam Neeson starrer Absolution taking in only $1.4 million. Warner Bros did not release the box office take of Juror #2, the Clint Eastwood film that was almost sent straight to Max. It is getting a limited theatrical run for awards qualifying, and will be on the streaming service at a date TBD.
Anora made $1.9 million in its expansion this weekend, from 253 theaters.
In limited release, A Real Pain opened to $240,000 from four theaters in NYC and LA, the third best per-screen average of the year.
