Just saw a tiktok today pointing out Boreanaz has been working consistently (in 20+ episodes per season shows) for the last 27 years, with the only break being a year between Angel and starting Bones. Good for him. And he's very into crystals now?

As for Angel, I never got into it past the first/second/third season (I don't remember). My cousin, hearing this, bought me all seasons of Buffy and Angel on DVD, and that boxset has been collecting dust now for over a decade, and I don't even have a device to play it on anymore.

Yeah its crazy that he's the most successful cast member post- Buffy/Angel.

Buffy - 3 seasons
Angel - 5 seasons
Bones - 12 seasons
Seal Team - 7 seasons

across 3 different networks at that and he's already looking at a new show I think

I often think about this lol
And he was one of the weakest actors on Buffy/Angel
(I haven’t seen any of his other shows besides a episode here and there of Bones)

Just fyi, Charisma’s IG is private so we can’t see the post.

Anyway, I loved this show but hated when they added Fred. I still don’t understand what the point of her character was. I would honestly argue that Gunn and Wesley’s whole feud over her is part of what led to the shows downfall.

Oh my god, another Fred hater! I found her so dull. She was decent in little bits, but I wish she had never become a regular.

I'm not a fan of Fred either, and I usually don't dislike female characters, but she just bugged the shit out of me. When Cordelia died, it was crickets... but when Fred died, all the men of the show were fighting for their lives to save her, even SPIKE cared about her, and the guy who killed her went on and on about how he chose her to be Illyria's vessel because she's the most perfect woman. Whedon's bias towards Amy Acker was so painfully obvious.

And justice for the Wesley/Gunn friendship, and Wesley/Lilah. You'll never make me believe that Wesley and Fred's 5 minute long relationship was more impactful than Wesley's intense enemies-with-benefits relationship with Lilah.

The difference between Cordelia's death and Fred's death was really stark and in retrospect revealed a lot about Joss and his relationships with Charisma/Amy.

I liked the show but it went downhill in later seasons, I vaguely remember some horrible storyline with Cordelia and Angel's son. But I liked it when Spike showed up, him and Angel together were fun to watch.

Spike was so much fun in the show and really brought the humour. I liked his banter with Angel a lot.

I loved that whenever Angel and Spike were together (even on BtVS), there was a very obvious annoyed sibling vibe. The actors and the writers were able to capture that feeling of two people who have known each other a really long time and know how to push each other's buttons. In S1-S4, Angel was the leader of the group and although there were sometimes heated discussions or arguments with the rest of the team, he clearly felt that he was in charge and made the important decisions. I loved that when Spike popped up in S5, Angel could no longer maintain the image of the serious brooding boss all the time because he was getting into petty bickering arguments with Spike in front of everyone.

100%! I hated everything after Cordelia left (she was my fave!), but Spike was a breath of fresh air and brought a good vibe to the show that I felt was lost. I was disappointed Cordelia wasn't there to enjoy it and snark with him.

JUSTICE FOR CORDELIA AND DARLA! I hate what they did with their characters.

I really wish that we had explored who Darla was as a person outside of Angel and had seen more of her dynamic with him. I wish we got better Angel/Cordelia moments because they were my ship.

It went downhill halfway through season 3 for me. I wish they had never cut Cordelia's hair.

You're Welcome remains the best episode of the entire show.

Fwiw Charisma wanted to cut her hair.

I agree about Darla. She was such an interesting character and there was so much history to mine (unattached to Angel) that we never got.

Same with season 3! Everyone always talks about season 4 being the downfall of Cordelia’s character (and not without justification of course), but even in season 3 I felt like something was off. After she was blonde she barely felt like Cordelia any more, it was just weird seeing her in those matronly white dresses and comforting Connor like a mother figure, talking all the time about how Angel was her only priority, and then turning her into a saintly figure almost for the end of the year ( ... )

I remember being so surprised when he died, year later after the fact. I had no idea he had problems and was let go from the show because of it.
