As for Angel, I never got into it past the first/second/third season (I don't remember). My cousin, hearing this, bought me all seasons of Buffy and Angel on DVD, and that boxset has been collecting dust now for over a decade, and I don't even have a device to play it on anymore.

Buffy - 3 seasons
Angel - 5 seasons
Bones - 12 seasons
Seal Team - 7 seasons
across 3 different networks at that and he's already looking at a new show I think

And he was one of the weakest actors on Buffy/Angel
(I haven’t seen any of his other shows besides a episode here and there of Bones)

Anyway, I loved this show but hated when they added Fred. I still don’t understand what the point of her character was. I would honestly argue that Gunn and Wesley’s whole feud over her is part of what led to the shows downfall.

And justice for the Wesley/Gunn friendship, and Wesley/Lilah. You'll never make me believe that Wesley and Fred's 5 minute long relationship was more impactful than Wesley's intense enemies-with-benefits relationship with Lilah.

The difference between Cordelia's death and Fred's death was really stark and in retrospect revealed a lot about Joss and his relationships with Charisma/Amy.

I loved that whenever Angel and Spike were together (even on BtVS), there was a very obvious annoyed sibling vibe. The actors and the writers were able to capture that feeling of two people who have known each other a really long time and know how to push each other's buttons. In S1-S4, Angel was the leader of the group and although there were sometimes heated discussions or arguments with the rest of the team, he clearly felt that he was in charge and made the important decisions. I loved that when Spike popped up in S5, Angel could no longer maintain the image of the serious brooding boss all the time because he was getting into petty bickering arguments with Spike in front of everyone.

I really wish that we had explored who Darla was as a person outside of Angel and had seen more of her dynamic with him. I wish we got better Angel/Cordelia moments because they were my ship.
It went downhill halfway through season 3 for me. I wish they had never cut Cordelia's hair.
You're Welcome remains the best episode of the entire show.

I agree about Darla. She was such an interesting character and there was so much history to mine (unattached to Angel) that we never got.
