-Considered one of the best spin-offs in Spin-off herstory, the vampire Angel (David Boreanaz) tries to get a fresh start in Los Angeles after leaving his true love, Buffy, behind in Sunnydale. Instead, he finds a whole 'nother breed of fiends waiting to bring out his dark side. Along the way, he joins forces with HBIC, Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter), half-demon Doyle (Glenn Quinn), former Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce (Alexis Denisof), vigilante Gunn (J. August Richards), Fred (Amy Acker), and Lorne (Andy Hallet) to protect LA from the forces of evil.

-The show would run for 5 seasons, partially due to Whedon attempting to urge WB execs to let them know of their renewal status before the series wrapped filming. The show was one of the few who increased viewers in Season 5 but WB annoyed with Whedon, and no longer having Buffy, canceled the series.

-After Buffy moved to UPN, the network was prepared to pick up the spin-off should WB cancel it it as well but WB wouldnt have that and renewed the series and cut off ties for any potential crossovers until Buffy was ending.

-The spin-off is forever tainted by Whedons treatment of Charisma Carpenter who was pissed that she got pregnant during S4, forcing the writers to rewrite the overarching S4 storyline and not renewing Charismas contract option for S5.

This show represents so much about life to me.
It was the role of a lifetime (!) and at the same time an experience I survived. Through it all though, I became better, stronger and wiser.

Angel, 25 years later, is still relevant and firmly takes its rightful place in pop culture history.

It also takes me around the world w cast mates where I / we have the privelege to meet fans and share my / our appreciation to the best fandom in the world. No matter what, I will always be thankful for that. Cordelia forever! Angel the series, forever 💕
