after how they’ve treated kelly (she filmed her last episode today), this disgusting mess with jason/anna, kate mansi’s kristina being unwatchable, carly suddenly becoming the spencer matriarch and the dumb way they’ve written jj’s comeback this show can die.

I'm so sad about Kelly.

I honestly would not be sad if the show got canceled. It hasn't been good since right after the pandemic for long periods of time. There are pockets of brilliance, basically anything where Molly tears into Kristina is glorious, but for the most part it has been very bad all year ( ... )

i love having it as a constant. i stop watching for years but know i can go back and watch at any time. i’ll be sad but it’s honestly so bad that it needs to be put out of its misery. new molly has been a blessing though. i never even liked kristina but mansi has me missing lexi.

last time i liked carly she was played by tamara braun son. her suddenly caring so much about her cousins is too hard to take serious 🫣
as a jasam fan it doesn’t even pain me to say that jason should be in jail serving consecutive life sentences and sonny should be dead by now.

They should’ve pivoted to making a legacy family the centre show a long time ago (especially since they decimated the Quartermaines) instead of all this Sonny/Carly mess.
And I’ve never understood the love for Sam.

They should have, yes. But now they're in crisis repair mode and the Spencer family is the only family that they can really rebuild with noted characters on the canvas. They can kind of do it with the Webbers (the real legacy family), but there's only Steven (who they shouted out!) and Sarah and Tommy and Tommy Jr, although they could easily have any one of those characters also have some teens/college aged children.

I will say, though, that they've done a good job of stabilizing the Qs in terms of having people at the mansion who are connected to the family. They don't do a good job of spotlighting the Qs in story, sadly, but at least Qs aren't constantly dying or leaving the canvas like the 00s.

I'll admit, I've been skipping Sam's scenes, but I'm not happy about her leaving. Hopefully, they somehow bring her back, like back when they fired Rebecca Herbst and the outrage was so much that they rehired her right away.

Also, whats the point of Gio now? cause like I thought he was going to be Trina's new love interest (should have been Spencer's recast) and now hes just around talking to people.

Gio was likely going to end up being a surprise spawn of Drew, because one of his earliest scenes, at Brook and Chase's wedding, had him look over and see Jason and say something akin to "he looks familiar, but I don't know why." I took that to be that his mom had a picture of "Jason," but it would actually be of Drew since they were identical twins until Drew had to have reconstructive surgery and looked like, well, Billy Miller first, then Cameron second. But the point remains. Because it wouldn't make sense with the timeline for it to be Jason since 20-ish years ago, Jason was busy with Courtney, Liz or Sam depending on the time frame and definitely didn't have time for any dalliances, but the at that point unknown Drew with Jason's face certainly could have been somewhere in New York instead of San Diego for a bit of time and made a baby with Gio's mama ( ... )

Gio and Dex being queer and into each other would be so refreshing. But the writers are addicted to secret love child storylines, so I bet Gio is brooklynns and dantes son. With Lulu waking up soon, it will add more drama and it will be dragged for 2 years probably.

I think the Lulu factor basically locks in Gio being Dante and Brook's child, since Lulu and Brook had massive hostilities before she went for her long nap and even though Brook is a better person and has made peace with Maxie and probably wants nothing more than Lulu to get better, it'll still be a conflict.

Damn what did Anthony Geary do that was so bad to be catching strays like that? I'm so out of the loop

If your question is what did Anthony do to get the ire of myself and other soap fans, it's pretty simple: he was an ingrate. For at least the last decade that he was on the show he would vocally bitch about how much he wanted to leave to the soap press. How much he didn't want to do the job. That's fine, he's allowed to be frustrated with his job, but he also had plenty of opportunities to leave when his contract was up and he instead chose not to because he was making decent money.

Right before he finally did leave he did an interview where he called the people who loved Luke and Laura and wanted them to be end game "children of divorce who want their parents to get back together." He was just exceptionally disrespectful to the very fan base that allowed him to have the career that he did. And it was distasteful.
