Just a few weeks after announcing that former All My Children actor Alexa Havins has been cast as Lulu Spencer, General Hospital adds yet another member of the Spencer family, this time with former As The World Turns actor Van Hansis taking over the role of Lulu's cousin, Lucas Jones

Yeah, I'm really surprised Van Hansis is coming back to soaps after so long. Definitely didn't expect to see this news this morning.

I think I remember Lucas from that "teen summer" they tried to have in the mid 2000s where Lulu got an abortion (I think it was her?). Now it seems all those characters are coming back.

Is Maxie still around? Do they mention Dillon? Trying to remember who else was there. Ned's daughter too.

Lulu did indeed abort Dillon's baby.

Maxie is still around and has been a constant presence since Kirsten Storms took over the role (although Storms has had periods of unavailability due to personal stuff, so the role has been recast a few times). Dillon hasn't been around for at least like 6 years. They tried to recast the character and the recast was serviceable, but never really took off. They did just mention him about a month ago, talking about the abortion because Lulu's medical situation is probably the 1B story. Ned's daughter, Brook Lynn, is also a regular on the show at the moment.

Woah thanks for all the reminders! I remembered the actress was Adriana Leon but never would have remembered the Brook Lynn name. I need to dig into what's happening on GH these days.

I loved Van back in the day on ATWT. He'll be perfect as Lucas imo. I haven't watched GH in years, but between Jonathan Jackson and Van I might tune back in!

Ohhhhh, don't tune in for JJ's latest return. It's been super botched. He's been back for a month and he's just now in PC, or will be on Monday.

They're building up the Spencer family again for some reason (probably a rating's ploy), so bringing back both of Luke and Laura's children, who were off canvas, was a priority. They asked Julie Marie Berman, the most beloved Lulu by the fans more than likely, if she wanted to return but she turned them down. They skipped over Marcy Rylan, the most recent actress to play her, for some reason (apparently they did Marcy wrong in some way, but there aren't any firm details as to what the 'wrongness' ended up being), so they had to go and find someone else and they found Alexa.

it's been so long idek who marcy is. last time i watched, julie was lulu. i'd love to see julie and jonathan together again
