Wallace was my favourite character and it sucked how they'd constantly sideline him. I don't really watch shows aimed at teens anymore so I hope things are different but black/POC representation back then was truly abysmal.
Season Two had some of the worst episodes. And there were 1x21 was an episode so controversial that it eventually got ret-conned. It's weird to recommend ending a mystery show before the mystery reveal but if the show ended with 1x20, it would have been perfect. And I say this as a financial backer of the film
After the movie I was looking forward to the revival series but before I could watch it someone told me who dies and I just couldn't be bothered.
Like what was the point of giving this character so much growth and putting this other person through so much traumatic shit only to do them like that. Like why even bother bringing back a show if you're gonna fuck over your fans.
And Kristen was just sitting there smirking her ass off all over the place during Comic-Con when Logan came up while the other actors were trying to not reveal their upset.
Oh, yeah, the group interviews during Comic-con are infuriating. Especially when Hulu had dropped the entire season like the day of or the day before CC so ppl were actively watching this bitch smirk while so many fans were devastated, and Jason was clearly upset, and the others were also clearly not happy. And she's all OH, IT'S GREAT!
Fucking right? If ever there were a time for fan service, it's when the fans (primarily Logan and Veronica shippers) paid for your movie and are the reason you got the revival greenlit ffs.
This show came out when I was a college freshman. It wasn't airing in Canada (as far as I knew) so I'd use torrents to download it. I even got a handful of friends into it after the first two seasons were released on DVD. I miss those days ;_;
I still haven't finished the 3rd season and I haven't seen the movie either, it was already going downhill so in my mind, it ended on a high note. Same with Buffy, tbh. These shows get worse after the characters graduate high school for some reason.
Canada always got shafted on the WB/UPN/CW shows. Gilmore Girls started out on Fridays after Dawson's Creek on Global. Then it bounced around and finally ended up on Wednesday nights towards the very end when it was finally considered a hit.
I remember Veronica Mars bounced around too. It may have been on Global, but it was also on Sun TV, I think it was called. Anyone trying to watch these shows had to watch the TV guide like a hawk and even then, who knows if it would be on.
4 seasons, and yes I'm glad they killed Logan off (supposedly, although since we didn't see it on screen and he had such a top secret military job I bet they would have shown him to really be alive at some point). I hated him and Veronica together from the very beginning and seeing fans go apeshit over her being with a piece of crap like Logan turned my stomach. Ironically, in S4 he had actually done the work on himself that would have been deserving of a relationship with Veronica that I could root for, but I was so mad about the show putting them together in previous seasons I would never want them together.
I did not like what Rob Thomas said about his plans for Veronica being some kind of bitter loner in future seasons though.
ETA: also the two books were great and I wish they'd incorporated some of those storylines into the show, and also also I really had feelings about this 😂
I've always hated Logan and never bought his redemption arc. His popularity was so annoying that interacting with the fandom was insufferable. I just know it would've been a dumpster fire if social media existed back then lol
Did you ever frequent Television Without Pity? The VM boards were on fire after every episode, so much that I remember they had to change at least one of their rules (I think you used to have to read so many pages of an episode's board before you could comment, and they reduced the number for VM because so many people commented that the page number far exceeded their usual other popular shows).

Justice for Wallace's lack of screentime and status as VM's bestie!

Like when he became an office aide for extra credit and Veronica completely exploited his access lmao
