Wallace was my favourite character and it sucked how they'd constantly sideline him. I don't really watch shows aimed at teens anymore so I hope things are different but black/POC representation back then was truly abysmal.
Season Two had some of the worst episodes. And there were 1x21 was an episode so controversial that it eventually got ret-conned. It's weird to recommend ending a mystery show before the mystery reveal but if the show ended with 1x20, it would have been perfect. And I say this as a financial backer of the film
Not the original commenter, but I assume that they’re talking about Veronica’s rape? 1x21 reveals that it was her and Duncan who had sex after Logan roofied them, with Duncan assuming that it was consensual and something that they both just wanted to forget about, then in season 2 Cassidy reveals that he raped Veronica when she was unconscious
Interesting! I would be curious to get OP's take on this because yes, that is weird! I kind of forgot they had Veronica and Duncan have "consensual" sex at that party-I just remember being so shocked about the Cassidy reveal in S2 (which I thought was a great reveal-"Not Pictured"-and performance by Kyle Gallner, despite the ups and downs of the season).
I remember Wallace even being second in the credits to Veronica at the beginning (well other than Enrico having the ‘and’ spot of course), only to be more and more sidelined as the show went on with Logan even taking his place in the credits by the time of the second season, it was a shame as Wallace was a fan fav as well and they could have spent more time on his character
I did read something about the network wanting Wallace written out for so much of season 2 because of budget cuts?
Justice for Wallace's lack of screentime and status as VM's bestie!

Like when he became an office aide for extra credit and Veronica completely exploited his access lmao
