It is unbelievable to me how little changes can make such a big difference in life. Last week, I was finishing up a class and dealing with the end of the semester for a group of students in the program that I work for. I don't want to get too excited yet, but I got tickets to the Daily Show taping in St. Paul during the Republican Nat'l Convention. They don't guarantee entrance, but we have a shot at least. This weekend, Bryce and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. I can't believe that we've been married that long, and together for 11 years. We stayed at the Ivy, had a couples massage, and then did dinner at Murray's. It was really nice and relaxing. I was elated to register for the final course in my master's program. Today, I got an email informing me that the course was not open to all students and was part of a cohort program...even though it is held during the week and there was no indication of that. I have four days before I leave for China for 13 days. My boss has, of course, picked the last few weeks to take vacation. I have two million things I need her to sign off on and she is selectively using her email. Yesterday morning, while on my way to work, I got rear-ended. I was stopped as were all of the cars ahead of me because it is Cedar avenue and sometimes they tow cars who don't move by 7 am.
