I have four days before I leave for China for 13 days. My boss has, of course, picked the last few weeks to take vacation. I have two million things I need her to sign off on and she is selectively using her email. In fact, I've received four requests today from her to compile information for the Dean, but have yet to get any response from her

That's the trip I wanted to be on. Have as good a time over there as you can, and take it easy if possible. Besides you aught to be used to this by now ;)

(pretty sure your boss does this just about every year...and so far everything has worked out fine as it will again) :)

Good point! In fact, she has arrived back at work today and was actually chipper. Weird, but good.
