lol no. But I think those cops were hanging in the area (Yoongi I think drove past them on his way to his complex?) and they probs went over to help him pick up his scooter and then when they smelled the alcohol on him they breathalyzed him.

Yeah in the video you see him riding right in front of the three of them, he disappears around the corner, and you see one officer point in his direction as a reaction to his fall

lol exactly so like clearly he wasn't driving the scooter dangerously if he rode right past them and nothing about his scooter handling caused them to try to stop him then.

It was a dumb decision. But it was ultimately not a huge deal and he is getting punished appropriately in a way that fits that crime and we can all hope and believe he has learned a lesson and will not do it again. End of scandal. But nooooooooooo ppl had to lie and distort Yoongi's statement and use false footage to craft a narrative that made the incident seem much worse than it was.

BigHit tends to be very litigious so I expect once the investigation is complete and the official report is released, I will be getting WeVerse notifications informing me about BigHit suing their asses. Which like... it's what they deserve ( ... )

Only news report claimed he told the officers he had one drink, but that isn't confirmed and isn't part of his statement. This post is only to address the official statements that were called into question.

Yeah his statement was basically like "drank at dinner then went to studio to have drinks with friends" so idk why he'd say something different to the police?? So I'm skeptical of that reporting. But I guess we'll know for sure when the investigation is complete.

People don't walk at 5mph, usually walking stride is 3mph! Electric scooters shouldn't be in a sidewalk.

People are saying that the sidewalk he is on is for pedestrians, and you can see the actual bike lane to the side in the CCTV he should have been driving on

I'm living for all the drama on both sides though

True but he rode the entire sidewalk length in front of the three officers and they only approached him after he fell?

I was also reading something that a Korean person posted saying that over a certain kph you have to use the bike lane and under a certain kph you can use the sidewalk? Or something like that. Idk enough about it to be sure. But if he was going over the kph on the sidewalk, you'd think that would have been added to his charges?

Sometimes the police look the other way if you are doing something minor while appearing sober/otherwise competent. (I do realize this statement comes from a place of personal privilege and not everyone is so fortunate.) He wasn't driving erratically and there weren't many pedestrians out, so they may have considered it a low priority or otherwise more effort than it was worth to address in the moment.

I don't know what they make him do in the military but they should add scrubbing toilets until he leaves. Fines for rich people have no impact on them, you need to make them pay with labor!

jtbc shouldn't have released wrong footage. but some fans sounding like maga yelling about the corrupt lying media as if it changes the fact that he still drove drunk on a scooter. that still happened wrong footage or not.

I could have sworn I read that JTBC was given the footage by police. But either way, the actual footage is more embarrassing.
