If it wasn't for reading, I wouldn't even know what they were trying to advertise besides "These white people are really annoying*.". If I were Thai, I'd be annoyed too.

Wow. That ad had to pass through many hands before it aired, and not one person said that it was garbage.

i wasn't sure what exactly they were trying to advertise until the very end when the credits actually list out everything that was used. the whole time it's like, is this for a phone? a tablet? a laptop?

also, i've only been to thailand as a tourist myself, but i didn't need to use any sort of translation app at all to communicate whenever i went. depicting them in a city and needing to do that instead of a rural area was def a choice. also didn't see anyone, local or foreign, wearing weird outlandish clothing on the regular lol.

however, now i want thai food...

That's exactly what this ad tells me. It tells me that it is marketed to a certain type of American tourists.
