And she was very miscast in that role (as she was miscast in many roles written for older women during that period).

I have to admit, I'm feeling kinda sad for him. It's not a crime to want something badly. People are going in on him even worse than they did with Anne Hathaway, and that's saying something.

That said, I did not think Maestro was that good of a movie so just the fact that it got nominated should feel like a win to him.

I don't think Anne should have won for Les Mis and she seemed way up her own ass that season to make your eyes roll by the time the Oscars came around, but she seems to have mellowed out since.
Cooper's had a few good roles but not what I would consider award-worthy. He's just seems soooo... blah when there's other actors that can act circles around him.
Granted, there were more deserving male actors this past season than some that were nominated (including my bb boy, Ryan).
