The pap walks with Gigi Hadid didn’t help either. He looks ridiculous and no one believes the relationship.
I’m sure he’ll try again, I don’t think he’s someone who’s seen as overdue though so he has to actually make a good movie. I watched Maestro and it was particularly let down by the awful screenplay he wrote himself. I think he needs to just let someone else write and direct his films and he should focus on acting.

I thought he was good as actor in A Star is Born, but overall the movie felt empty; the story too thin for me.

I found A Star is Born very affecting. I had seen an older version so knew the general contours of what would happen, but I still was very moved. The fact that he cast Lady Gaga really helped to sell the material. I thought they were great together.
