Bradley Cooper spent years perfecting his performance (plus writing and directing) in hopes of securing an Oscar for Maestro, but instead, his performance was seemingly overshadowed by his "desperation" to win, and the Oscar for Best Actor instead went to quiet frontrunner Cillian Murphy.

He deserved to win for a Star is Born.

Other than that I don’t think I’ve seen (m)any of his other films besides Guardians and his appearances on ALIAS.

as little as I like him, yeah, I thought he was great in A Star Is Born

I thought he was way better than Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook. He deserved the accolades she got.

And she was very miscast in that role (as she was miscast in many roles written for older women during that period).

That movie was overhyped and it's pretty rumored that she got that Oscar cause Harvey needed a hit and was lobbying hard.

He was PERFECT for the role, as someone who read the book. JLaw was so miscast. I feel like I misread the book, wasn't her character chill but stalkerish?

Totally. I thought he outshined her and carried her actually. Jennifer was definitely miscast and way too young for that role. She wasn't terrible but no way she deserved that oscar.

I will never understand how that vh1 biopic made it all the way to the Oscars!!

Not only that but Taron Egerton was snubbed entirely the following year because they didn't want to give it to rockstar biopics twice in a row even though his was WAY better.

ESPECIALLY appalled when Taron was snubbed the following year for being infinitely better in his role. I will be forever pissed about it.
