and here I thought people were finally starting to be normal about her, Mulaney, and Munn.

r/FauxMoi is foaming at the mouth over this when this book will probably just blithely allude to drama and will be all this lovely purple prose about the self like Jenny Slate’s Little Weirds. its gonna be like her photography.

I feel like fauxmoi and ONTD interests align so I’m happy to see the first few comments here are about how crazy people are about this. Bc fauxmoi was disappointing. When people throw around the term parasocial relationship, this is one of the things I think about.

The way people clung onto this scandal as though the best cheating story of the pandemic wasn't Dominic West and Lily James.

Honestly. I was objectively kind of impressed with how she carved out a space for herself as an artist in the wake of this whole thing blowing up, especially as the not-famous-one. I know people were parasocial and weird in parts, but there was something kind of special about people communing to pour love on this woman who was navigating her grief through portraiture.

I still remember she posted a photo of herself reclined in a chair alongside a caption that said "The Room That Was", and one of the kid actors who was in Mulaney's Sack Lunch Bunch commented and said "And all the rooms that will be <3" and I damn near wept.

I think my favorite one was her throwing their wedding dishes out the window. It really aesthetized her catharsis in a darkly funny way. I really wanted to buy the print of her in the pink dress in the pink room, but yeah way too fucking rich for my blood.
