Wtfffffff NOOOooOoooOo. Netflix did this show so dirty. You have Michelle Yeoh as a lead and there was like no advertising for it at all! I only knew about it because it’s filmed in the 626. Ugh justice for this show and also for the great cast

The cast as a whole was honestly so good. I only started watching the show for Yeoh but I ended up adoring all the actors/characters, including Bruce (who seems to get so much hate from the fandom... was gonna start a Brucie defense squad in s2!)

I'm at least grateful that the showrunners thought ahead to end season 1 in a way that makes sense as a series finale. No cliffhangers that would drive me insane lol.

People don’t like Bruce?! I love him! Sure, he’s not my favorite but he is the heart of the show whaaaat.

I guess it didn't hit the right taste clusters.

(This is a joke against streamers, not against the show.)

I'm surprised that at this point anyone who works with netflix doesn't expect to get immediately canceled, but usually well-received shows get two seasons before they drop the axe (expecting more than 2 with their well-publicized tactics is pretty delusional though, for actors and audiences). Though then again, people are still working with WB for some reason too. I guess you're only safe if you're on a Dick Wolf show.

tbh the season 1 finale also functions pretty well as a series finale, so I'm guessing the showrunners were hedging their bets by providing enough closure in case Netflix decided to netflix.

Eventually they’re going to lose talent because of this, leading to shittier shows and over time less viewers. Idk.. I do think people crave good, well-written content and all this cutting corners and focusing solely on numbers and money is going to cost them in the end.

At least that’s what I think on my more optimistic days lol.

They're for sure shooting themselves in the foot. I hate the capitalistic tendency of prioritizing present gains over any future stability or longevity. And when things hit the shitter, they're all going to be "Pikachu surprised face" about it.

I can't be bothered getting into Netflix shows anymore because you know they're gonna get cancelled after 1, maybe 2 seasons. Like what's the incentive for me to get invested when I know Netflix isn't? And I'm sure lots of other people are starting to feel the same about Netflix shows honestly.

Honestly same. It always seems to be the ones I actually like too, like this and Lockwood and co (that one truly broke my heart, the kids had so much heart).

Fuck Netflix !!!

Yeah, I don’t watch new Netflix shows unless they already have 2-3 seasons, which is so detrimental to Netflix because their renewal structure keeps potential new viewers away, leading to lower viewership and cancellations…

I have 1 Netflix show (that’s really a Swedish show with rights sold to Netflix) coming out in less than 2 weeks with its already announced final season, and then I’m done watching Netflix shows 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh, what's the show? I want to watch more Swedish TV.

Completely devastated 😔 The only consolation is that it had a satisfying ending.

I know in my heart Charles came back someday to be Governor Alexis's trophy househusband.
