I'm still sad DanRad was seriously overlooked for this part when he would have killed it. Harry can sing without autotune and dance his pocket prince ass off.

Actually it's getting bad reviews

#Wonka quickly transcends from a bland musical to a Cats-level hot mess.

Charming would be the word for it if it didn’t hit grating far too often.

#Wonka: Chalamet attempts a Gene Wilder meets Jim Carrey vibe that sands the edges off both, the only memorable song is "Pure Imagination," and the chocolate doesn't even look that appetizing. Hugh Grant's Oompa Loompa (as disconcerting a few words I've ever typed) is default MVP

I thought it looked bad but Cats-level bad? Maybe that's why Hugh Grant was expecting to cry while watching it

But the first one still praises Timmy and I want them to be mean to him :(

If actors are bad singers... why not get some ACTUAL talented singers to either play them or do the singing and give them good credit? Hate this auto-tuning of voices when there's actual decent singers out there. Autotune just takes me completely out of it - one of the things I really hated about the Beauty and the Beast live action movie was how they autotuned Emma Watson's voice SO MUCH - it was really distracting.

The same way they don't cast comedians in comedies anymore, box office baby!
