Most people have had a job where they praise it and their boss all while they are being treated horribly. This video doesn't mean a damn thing.
My profession is talking to employees when there is an investigation involving management in a company. I see it all the time. When they are alone with you away from their bosses, you get the real story.
Yeah,i talked to an interviewer once privately aboit my boss after he was sent to "management training" and she said, "I am so sorry you have had go go through all this." He was fired not too long after i quit after my replacement left after 6 weeks.
My one vindictation is that my asshole boss left before he could fire me and everyone who now oversees me has had nothing but praise to say about me and have even said "we read the reports he wrote about you and we just don't understand, this is not the person we know you to be."
My boss kept getting a pass with management because he started working for them as a college intern and 22 years later was a department head because the old CEO was his mentor. He applied to be CEO and lost to a woman and he resented it hardcore for years after that.
CAUSE SHES ON FUCKING TAPE FOR THE DOCUMENTARY…the fuck she supposed to do- spill her guts.
Many reasons Needed money and had to show brave face She was trying to reconcile what happened and maybe work past it and/or some variation of “this time it will be different” Denial/repression (of trauma)(especially if you were a fan prior) Maybe a delayed reaction of realization how (understatement here) inappropriate all of that was Felt safety was at stake People told her to suck it up, it’s no big deal Your career will be ruined Sometimes you wanna be like “i can handle it” work is work mentality And 100 other reasons
i'd like to say it was personal growth and realizing my own worth did not need to be tied to this asshole that was never that into me, but the truth is he went to prison for ten years for sexually abusing a minor and only just got out last year.
omg that's awful, i'm so sad you had to put up with this shit :( but i'm happy you're open about it here bc this is definitely something a lot of people keep hidden
