and? i’ve hung out with abusers after the fact….to bad the general public can’t comprehend that abuse and reactions to it aren’t all the same and simple
aside from the fact that the traumatized individual’s experience is complex and does not exist within a black and white vacuum so therefore they can still experience love and appreciation for someone that irrevocably abuses them, it’s also patently unsurprising for an employee to feel pressured to lavish praise upon their employer. the temerity within this accusation is so baseless and absurd that it almost makes me feel like lizzo’s attorneys know this will get messy so they’re just throwing what they can at the wall now in hopes that it distracts the side of the public lacking in critical thinking skills from engaging deeply w the news
sometimes it takes years to process and realize it was abuse. happened to me with someone I dated, because I had such little dating experience back then ans i was very naive. he tried to add me on IG after 15 years, I blocked him, but I had nightmares for months. Fuccckkkk this and fuck the lawyer.
Honestly, the only thing this proves to me is that Lizzo is indeed an asshole willing to go as low as possible to ruin the people who dared exposing her bigoted ass.
I've sat in on a couple interviews this week and had to grit my teeth while answering questions about company culture and how "we're all one big happy family". In a perfect world, I'd tell them "get out" but then I wouldn't have a job! Funny how that works.
I have not kept up with any of this or even really read about it, but just this post alone makes me think Lizzo is a terrible person. This is evidence of nothing, especially since it could be connected to this individual's ability to make money/have connections.
