i feel like akinnuoye-agbaje quitting and the showrunner wanting to punish his decision to quit with a lynching and genital mutilation death scene should prob be bolded even if they didnt actually put that in the show. the fact that the showrunners first thought was wanting that for the death scene ummm????

I think it's partly reference to HBO show OZ? Adewale played Simon Adebisi on OZ, and in first season they had a character who was killed, had his dick cut off and put in his throat. But still, what a horrible thing to say.

carlton cuse comes across so much worse than damon here. hes just making excuses and straight up calling everything a lie and doing it through his pr instead of actually talking to mo. fucking coward.

This was a really great read. Harold has been one of my favorite actors since I was little, so I was really excited to see him in Lost when it came out. The show really failed him. Its infuriating since they mention they knew what a get he was, and then they threw him aside for the likes of Evangeline Lily and Matthew Fox.

I do not buy Lindelhof's faux contrition, and I would like to know what he's done to make amends besides enrich his own career. Yes, he seems more aware of race now and is including it in his projects, but what has he done for the writers, actors and other staff who experienced his racism and lost career opportunities because of it?

I’ve always thought in hindsight that it was so weird that they wouldn’t just recast Walt and instead basically just blew up the whole story line. The audience was so invested in the show at the point and would have accepted a new actor quickly I think. I feel stupid for them being racist dicks being the reason never crossing my mind

There were so many ways to handle the Walt stuff and they totally did the laziest option.

Perrineau has been super talented and brave for decades. And the show just had him screaming Walt for two years.

I'm sure those of us who watched LOST when it first aired been knew. How all these motherfuckers running around get DUI's (and god knows what else)back to back and only certain ppl get fired?

They did Walt dirty, his daddy, Michelle Rodriguez, Palo & his side chick. All of em!

EDITED:

This article is a good read. Cause, what the fuck is wrong with them ppl.

Now maybe them DUI's were warranted; to get away from their bosses. Cause what the actual fuck????

the nikki and paulo thing was a mess. i wonder what kind of shit rodrigo santoro and kiele sanchez had to deal with before they got fired, because it seems clear to me its more than just 'the audience doesnt like you.'

i thought they were specifically brought in to have a short arc and be killed off. to represent audience members by making meta commentary on the main characters. they were never fired, that i recall.

It's never ever OK to drive drunk, BUT it should be noted that Hawaii is famously extremely strict about that. So getting busted there is kinda more likely than anywhere else, and it shouldn't automatically be a fireable offense, necessarily. Depends on the circumstances, imo.

The show would poke fun at Tallahassee, which prompted their mayor
to invite the show’s personnel to visit and enclosed brochures touting
the city’s attractive qualities.

Imagine passing out blank pieces of paper to people.
