I keep thinking the Dungeons & Dragons movie is some kind of elaborate prank.

Based on the trailer, it's pretty funny if you play and your party can be a disaster half of the time lol

He's right about the death of the movie star.

I can't wait for the movie to come out, I've never played D&D in my life but the trailer was so good.

He's right in the sense that glorifying this one tiny element of filmmaking has always been silly. But I don't really buy the premise. Margot Robbie is a "new" movie star, whether we like it or not. They still exist for sure.

Disagree as people clearly didn’t go out to see her recent films and I consider a movie star someone that people will see their movie on the name alone, like Will Smith. Margot is a celebrity though, for sure. Her filmography since Wolf of Wall Street (OUATIH notwithstanding, which she was a small part and not the draw) is rather lackluster actually and I think a lot of her future film career will depend on the success of Barbie.

Agree. Margot is a Movie Star. Will Smith was the last one, probably.

What happened to his hype? I remember when he was frontrunner for the Bond movie but now I see him collecting checks from guaranteed flops

he was in the running for Adam Warlock

but so was every other semi fit guy in hollywood

I feel like that happens to most people who buy into their own hype off the back of one big project.

i'm not a fan of bridgerton but it definitely did not feel like a wise decision on him & his team's behalf to leave the show the second he got attention. like i get season 2 allegedly wasn't supposed to be about him anyway (or maybe that was just because he left) but he really should've stuck around to double down the hype.
