yeah, that's how I feel about Facebook. I get that I have a better experience on FB than most, because I don't keep anyone on my feed that posts shit that's super toxic or super against-anything-I-stand-for (any really conservative relatives I have don't bother with social media or they were already on my shit list for something else and never were my FB friend) but I have extreme social anxiety. I can find out things I need to know from there without having to ask people, my contributions to it (my photography and the discussions I lead) make people happy, and I would never have known about the show that reconnected me with the person who saved my life without it (I mean, I am sure I would have found out it existed but not that he was in it because he went by a different name when we were younger).

I hope the 3 execs that he fired will start a new social media company.

Twitter is so toxic, but I can't quit it.

I know when I don't go on it my mental health improves, but I always end up back there.

I don't think any of the ones threatening it will actually quit. A lot of celebs complain about how terrible instagram is and they're all still there despite it continually getting worse.

i know i could google but, what exactly is wrong with Instagram? i literally only go on it to post my work, other than that, if i get bored i'll post a pic on my personal account. i know ads like crazy now, but did i miss something?

Basically the algorithm is messed up and shows you days old posts and prioritises reels and pushes shopping and things. It's so messed up to navigate and a lot of creators have to post links to their pics in their stories for people to know they've posted a new picture.

They've essentially tried to make it Tiktok when most people just want to scroll through photos.

also, i agree, twitter is a toxic site, i hate t with every fiber of my being.

oooh, well damn. now i get why people are pissed about it, just no one explains why. i'm barely on there, so i had no idea, but i'm surprised someone for this long, hasn't tried to start a better site. i know I've seen some who have, but they never fall through. thank you!

Alex gets a pass because he is one of the few celebs who vocally supported Amber Heard.

And I’m not gonna judge these rando producers and whatever, they CAN take a stand because no one cares. The really big celebs are all too tightly under control.
