Different culture and all, plus I don't like praising the rich. But Korean celebs do a lot of charity, public donations. I know celebs who pay medical bills of their staff etc. It gets them a lot of good press, which is partly the motivation behind these donations. To set up an image.
But I guess Kardashians want the infamy

I have a lot of issues with Gofundme in general though and I feel like it's almost been hijacked by people who don't actually need it.

Agreed I understand it’s not celebs jobs to pay for their friends surgery but then to ask people who do not have millions and millions of dollars is ridiculous if you’re worried about it and you have the money just donate yourself. And gofundme sigh I know how much people need it cus our government/healthcare is such trash but I know first hand people who have lied and used it to just buy shit they didn’t need. (Terrible roommate not a friend)

Yeah I had a friend who was in the hospital for a few weeks and his girlfriend set up a gofundme for costs but he’s a vet and I verified with his family that all of his med costs were being covered and it wasn’t a lost wages thing because he lives on his benefits checks which he was still getting. It was all very shady.
