Yep. I actually agree with him on most things. But as soon as he said that, I was like he’s white. But this is why diversity matters. There have been plenty of times where my white friends raved about something, especially comedians or comedy and I’m like what 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t understand the appeal of most comedy TV shows that have predominantly white casts; Schitt’s Creek being one of the few exceptions.

I also think that at least in America what white people find funny vs what African Americans find funny can be very different. There’s nothing wrong with that because not everythang is meant for everybody, and it wouldn’t be that big of an issue if these voting bodies were more diverse and weren’t so white.

Right, I mean, it's not like the main plot wasn't to find/get The Child, a.k.a, Baby Yoda or anything.

wtf?? what's weird is if you remove that *vile* first sentence...this is a very reasonable ballot.

Granted, I am going on what y'all have said here abt the high quality of succession.

right?!

i kept readign expecting to roll my eyes... but nope. Seems reasonable. But obvs this person is sexist af and that colors their judgment w/ everything. :/

no excuse for the sexism, but at least the actual ballot that determines the winner is mostly solid and not promoting the worst shit...

the kominsky method and the Insecure ones also made me side eye them, i haven't seen Insecure but i know it's critically acclaimed and apparently gets better with each season

I think the Crown really should’ve kept the cast from season 1-2 and used prosthetics and makeup to age them. I like the concept but I only see Olivia Colman as Olivia Colman whereas I really saw Claire disappear into the role. Tobias Menzies is a better actor than Matt Smith but I dont really care for Philip and the redemption arc they’re going for makes it obvious the show is created by a (converted) royalist

IA, changing the cast was a good idea in theory, but in practice it's been very distracting and it makes the show feel disjointed. I also don't think the producers fully realized how much people would love the original cast.

lol, but honestly that would have been weird and that almost never works

but i agree about Olivia Colman

Neither does this tbh
Like the above user said it’s distracting and feels disjointed like a different show
