this reminds me when i once commented here that i dont tip that much (bc im from europe and we dont really tip here and i guess i should have added that lol) and i got so much hate lol
last weekend i went on a day w/ someone who works in the service/food industry, and he didn't leave a tip at the coffeeshop we went to. like...what the fuck. also he was just really depressing and moping and i told him (not even being mean) to see a therapist b/c they're amazing. he texts me everyday dumping his emotional bullshit on me.
i swear, some people (men) just go on dates bc they don't wanna pay for therapy. i've done so much emotional labor for strangers like i'm done, i'm charging next time lmao
i barely even respond. he'll send me paragraphs about how he has to work but couldn't get out of bed until time to leave and can't bear* to clean his home. like...i really understand, but it's depression and i can't be bothered to care about you after...1 date. that i spent then entire hour and a half wondering when it'd be appropriate to leave without seeming "rude."
I didn't know tipping at coffee shops was the standard and I used to work in one lol usually they just have a tip jar and I leave a tip if I have cash and don't when I don't. Unless you mean y'all had lunch and a waitress there in which case I would definitely tip. But tipping baristas doesn't seem to be standard where I'm at.
See, I read it differently. I just took that as him having an A-typical name. So, if she said "Thad" we'd all just google to see if she dated a guy name Thad and it'd be clocked.
