Just got a call back from the Hennepin County library offering me an internship for the fall semester, which I accepted! Yay! I'll be working in the Central Library branch's Preservation department doing book preservation. I start Tuesday ( Read more... ) -
The busy has returned...
I realized today how lucky I was over the summer to be working 4 days a week with *only* 2 graduate courses scheduled. Now that the fall semester has officially begun, my schedule is looking way more hectic: 3 courses (a full load), 2 days of work a week, and two internships. Uffda ( Read more... ) -

This really got my attention this morning--it'd be nice if, because it's so damned expensive to pay for an education, administrators made alternative, less expensive forms of alternative education (like biking!) at least something that wasn't bound to get you killed. It is very nearly bedtime for this little lass, and goddamned if I'm not gonna sleep in tomorrow. Today's been long...been up since 6:30, had morning meeting, class, work, and an evening meeting. I finally made it back to Madison about a half hour ago (Ach! Weather!) to find a happy piece of mail in my mailbox, informing me that I have been approved to receive food stamps! This means a little over a hundred bucks for groceries per month.
