Oh my goddddddd Sergio Ramos has been undressed and possibly halfway flogged at least five times so far this game. Old Onion-balls has been criticizing Puyol and Marchena for their positioning, but they wouldn't have nearly as many problems if Ramos didn't keep losing his man ( Read more... )

the first goal gave me such wild, probably fruitless hopes that hey, torres and villa can work together after all. what say we make this partnership permanent?

how likely is it exactly that he and valencia's other hot assets will be staying by the time summer is over? there are all these issues about koeman and the new stadium that i keep hearing about.

koeman is long gone, bb. silva is signed long term and i expect him and a lot of the other youngsters to stay. they have a really great core, including albiol, banega, mata, and alexis, and i realize villa is approaching the peak of his career, but he fits in so well at valencia, with that system and with morientes and silva, and i mostly just want him to stay really badly. it's a selfish wish because i mostly want valencia to reaffirm my faith, and post-aimar, villa represents so much of that faith.

valencia ALWAYS make a big mess of things. but i'm a sucker for second chances and now that soler is gone and a new spanish coach has been signed, i feel like the situation could finally get better? and that villa should be there to spearhead this new project. but that's not really the way the footballing world works. just, please, not real madrid or chelsea.

he's 26 now, right? i guess he thinks he might be running out of time, unlike stevie who like 22 or 23 when he was being 140% confused.

if they get lots of money for him, maybe it will help the club? like fernando and atletico,

140% confused is still my favorite Stevie descriptor, possibly ever. ♥

it's not like valencia are lacking in any area of the pitch, but i feel about villa+valencia now how i felt about aimar+valencia five or six years ago, if that even makes sense. it won't ruin the club if he leaves but it certainly won't do them any favors.

Wait, there was soccer?

I spent the afternoon watching the hurling from the weekend. Fail. Lol.

Haha, yeah, I've missed the first few days of EUROFAIL so it's weird watching matches again.

I'm so up for the GAA at the moment that football of the soccer version seems kinda slow n boring atm. Travesty!

Too many spectators at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on Sunday, so they let the crowd sit around the edge of the pitch. Oh for that at teh soccer. Lol.

Spain be winning, then?

I wish I could watch the GAA! They have a short history of how the GAA gained popularity as a nationalist alternative to football in The Ball is Round. I can type it up for you if you want??

Yep, 4-1. Villa and the soul patch of magic had a hat trick. :)
