By request, I've put together a tutorial for snowfall icons. It uses PS 7 and ImageReady.

You'll need to have a basic knowledge of Photoshop (duplicating layers, moving parts of the image around with the Move tool, that sort of thing).

Okay, in case you didn't know, sometimes we post tutorials here at obsessiveicons. I definitely recommend you check out the saving and compression tutorials at that link. We've noticed in the contest entries that some people are giving themselves a poor start by saving at a low quality, which really does make a difference.
