For those of you unfamiliar with my experience of adoption, you can read about it here. I had a child, looked after her well for just over two years and badly for up to a year after that because I had a breakdown. Letter writing (and then burning) does sound as if it would be therapeutic, although I haven't tried that myself.

i'm glad you're getting something useful =smile= i've not heard of EFT, and the website scared me a bit (though i first read it as hearing not healing)- maybe i'll take another look when i'm less tired. x

EFT is *very* losely based on TCM acupuncture points. Like most new age stuff there's a small element of truth in it, but most of what i've read hasn't hasn't taught me anything I didn't figure out for myself already having read a fair amount about Chinese medicine - In short it does have an effect but there are so many overstated claims of what it can do people expect miracles and conclude it doesn't work. If you're going to try this one get the advice of an acupuncturist or similar person trained in TCM because they actually know something about it (rather than just claiming to)
